After the declaration of SSC and POLYCET results, detailed notification inviting students to appear for certificate verification and option entry will be published in daily newspapers. The details of web-based counseling and locations for certificate verification and option entry will be made available on the website https://polycetts.nic.in.
Candidates called for counseling on each day will have to appear at any one of the designated venue for verification along with all original certificates and documents. A candidate must check the details like locality, reservation/special reservation category; Gender marking is done on receipt of the certificate and they are immediately corrected by the verifying officer.
Candidates web counseling will be given relevant information about Candidates should prepare a set of all college-course combinations (called options) in consultation with their parents, teachers and friends in the manual option form provided.
The sequence of selections so made has to be entered on the web by logging in through the generated password. Candidates should enter as many choices as possible to avoid the disappointment of not getting a seat. A print out of the choices so entered will be kept on record for reference.
The choices registered on the last day of counseling will be closed and taken for the process of allotment. The allotment of seats is based on a computer program which takes into account the merit of the candidate in all the reservation categories of the candidate and the best possible seats are allotted out of the eligible options. Candidates have to download the allotment order and challan for fee payment through any branch of the allotted banks.
Candidates should report to the allotted college within the stipulated time along with the allotment order and fee payment challan. Candidates who do not attend the counseling on the notified date and time, who do not report to the allotted college on time or who do not pay the fee through challan, will not have any claim on admission in Polytechnic.
Calling for counseling does not guarantee a seat as more number of candidates will be called than the seats available. If the admission officer is not satisfied with the documents submitted by the candidate, the convenor has full power to disqualify the candidate seeking admission. The decision of the Convener in the matter of allotment/rejection of seat to the candidate called for counseling will be final.
Candidates will have to attend the counseling at their own cost and if necessary they will have to stay for one more day at the admission camp station as advised by the admission officer. The selection of ST/SC/BC/CAP/PH/NCC/SPORTS candidates is subject to the clearance given by the concerned departments during counselling. The Convenor will not be responsible for the delay in clearance in respect of suspected caste cases.
