This entrance test is for admission to 2 (two) year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) regular course in educational colleges of Telangana State for the academic year 2023. This time it is also offered to those who have passed a degree in Oriental language. To appear in Ed-CET for admission to B.Ed. course .

TSCHE has released the revised schedule of entrance examinations in the state of Telangana. The Education Department will conduct all TS CET as per the following revised dates. This year all the entrance exams will be conducted online. The last date for registration and submission of online application without late fee has been extended up to 30-06-2023.

this year (2021), steps have also been taken in the state to comply with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) guidelines, which are laying emphasis on quality standards in teacher education. The NCTE has proposed radical changes in the entrance test for teacher education courses and introduced only four-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course in future.

As part of their implementation, the Higher Education Council is making changes in the question paper of the Ed-CET exam to be held in August for admission to B.Ed. courses for the academic year 2023. Till now there used to be entrance test with separate question papers in the respective subjects according to the pattern of Social, Science and Mathematics, now it will not happen. Steps are being taken to introduce a single questionnaire for all the systems.

Students who want to do B.Ed. in any discipline, they will take entrance test with common paper. This increases the choice of the students. B.Sc., Math’s, Physics, Chemistry A student of B.Ed. I can choose either Mathematics or Physics mode. BZC students can take Chemistry along with Biology.

BA students also have to prepare for 10th class math’s and science subjects. Thus, Ed-CET has taken steps to modify the question paper of the entrance test to test the mastery of all core subjects up to class 10th. It includes questions on ‘Teaching Aptitude’ along with Mathematics, Science, Social, General English, General Knowledge, Educational Issues and Computer Awareness.

The Academy is making arrangements to send the proposal to the government. Before this, the exercise is being done to get permission from the government. At the same time, the acceptance of applications will start from March 24.

EDCET Exam Syllabus:

  • Subject/Content: Questions are taken from Class I to 10 syllabus of Telangana State syllabus focusing on reasoning and problem solving.
  • Teaching Aptitude: The aptitude questions pertain to understanding with special reference to teaching-learning process, classroom management and teacher-student relationship.
  • General English: Reading Comprehension, Spelling errors, Vocabulary, Vocabulary substitution, Error recognition and Word association.
  • General Knowledge: Current Affairs (India & International), Contemporary Educational Issues.
  • Computer Awareness: Computer (Internet, Memory, Networking, Fundamentals).

The University invites online applications from eligible candidates for admission to 2 (two) B.Ed. courses offered by the State Universities of Telangana State including its affiliated colleges.

TS Ed-CET: Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test (TS Ed-CET) will be conducted by Osmania University, Hyderabad GO Ms No. 13 SE (Training) Deptt. maintains as per Dt. 27-05-2017 for admission to B.Ed. Regular Courses (Two Years) in Colleges of Education in the State of Telangana for the academic year 2023.

Eligible candidates should submit their applications in online mode only. Application Registration Fee Rs. 850/- (Rs.450/- for SC/ST) to be paid at TS Online/AP Online/Me-Seva/e-Seva Centers or through AP/Payment Gateway in the State of Telangana. Detailed information regarding eligibility, syllabus, model paper, relevant instructions and submission of online application is available on the website edcet.tsche.ac.in.

Osmania University will conduct TSEDCE in August for admission to B.Ed. Regular courses (two years) in educational colleges of Telangana State for the academic year.

Eligibility to appear for TS Ed-CET 2023:

Candidates who fulfill the following requirements are eligible to appear for Ed-CET 2023.

  • (i) Candidates must be Indian Citizen.
  • (ii) The candidates must satisfy the local/non-local status requirements as further amended as per Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order 1974.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed or appearing for the qualifying examination (A) in any Bachelor’s Degree i.e. BA, BCom, B.Scs., B.Sc. (Home Science), BCA, BBM, BA (Oriental Languages), BBA Should be OR Masters Degree, must secure at least 50% aggregate marks.

(b) Graduation in Engineering or Technology or any other equivalent qualification with 50% aggregate marks.

(c) However, candidates belonging to reserved categories i.e. SC/ST/BC and Physically Challenged categories must have secured 40% marks in the qualifying examination.

(d) Candidates appearing in the final year degree examination are also eligible to appear for TS Ed-CET.

(e) Note: GO MS No: 13 As on date. As on 27/5/2017, candidates having MBBS/ B.Sc.(Ag)/ BVSc/ BHMT/ B.Pharma and such other professional and job oriented degree courses like LLB are not eligible for admission to B.Ed. course.

(f) Candidates having Master’s degree without pursuing graduate studies are not eligible for admission.

Age Limit: Candidates should have completed 19 years as on 1st July of the year of notification. There is no upper age limit.

Telangana State Ed-CET : TS Ed-CET is conducted for admission to two-year B.Ed. course in various colleges of the state. Online registration for Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test has started and the last date to apply through the website edcet.tsche.ac.in.

Candidates can correct the online application data already submitted.  Hall tickets can be downloaded from the website. The entrance test will be conducted at 14 exam centers across the state on May 23 from 11 am to 1 pm and the preliminary key will be released and candidates will send objections to the preliminary key. The results will be declared tentatively on June 11. TS Ed-CET is conducted for admission to two-year B.Ed. course in various colleges of the state.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates may submit their applications through online mode only. Application registration and processing fee Rs. 650/- (Rs. 450/- for SC/ ST) can be paid through AP Online/ Mee-Seva/ E-Seva Centers/ Payment Gateway (Credit Card/ Credit Card) in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Region Is. Read magazines for current affairs, general knowledge, follow news bulletins. Prepare paper cuts in the form of important news and notes in newspapers and check them from time to time. Revise important topics as many times as possible till the time of examination. To do this, use the notebook written earlier.
