Andhra Pradesh Police Recruitment Board has released a notification for the recruitment of 6,511 Police Posts (SI-411, Constable 6,100). The preliminary written examination for the posts of Constable Civil and APSP will be conducted on January 22, 2023. The Preliminary Written Examination will be of 3 hours duration for total 200 marks. However, the Police Recruitment Board has released the hall tickets for the Police Constable written exam. The preliminary written examination for SSI posts will be held on February 19.

Selection Process for Constable Posts

  • First stage preliminary exam will be conducted for 200 questions- 200 marks. This exam is completely objective mode.
  • In the second phase there will be Physical Measurement Test. Male candidates height should be 167.6 cms, 86.3 cms chest.
  • The height of female candidates should be 152.5 cms. Only male candidates are eligible for APSP Constable posts.
  • Physical Efficiency Test (1600 Meters, 100 Meters, Long Jump) will be conducted for the winners of Physical Measurement Test. Out of these 1600 meters will have to qualify in the test. Also qualifying in either the 100 meters test and the long jump is sufficient.

Final Written Examination

  • PMT, PET, Final return exam will be conducted for those who are successful in preliminary.
  • This exam will be of 200 questions – 200 marks duration will be of three hours.

The exam for APSC Constable posts will be conducted for 200 questions -100 marks.

In the preliminary and final written test, questions will be asked from the sections of English, Arithmetic, General Science, History, Current Affairs, Reasoning and Mental Ability.
